The home kit is really smart - they got that bang on for me.

Away kit isn't for me - Macron seem to always overcomplicate the away shirt for us, Glasgow and Scotland. Nothing wrong with a plain white shirt with some decal rather than slabs of blue, camo or landmarks.

So it's not anymore the black and red but the orange and blue ? I'm not really convinced nor enthused.
Shirts are god damn awful but you can't have everything : excellent coach, excellent squad and nice shirts... We had nice shirts during the Solomons' era but no good coach. I prefer the ugly shirts and the good coach !

I think the new kit is really smart, especially the home shirt.

Was at the store today, they’re down to their last handful of shirts, only a few left hanging out and none in the store room. Apparently at last year’s launch event they turned over £3k in two hours. Last night was £8k.

It’s been all over their emails, Facebook, Twitter etc for a couple of weeks.

OK, thanks. Don't do social media, didn't get any e-mails (season ticket holder, but nothing received for a while as far as I can see). Never mind.

Was good to see the badges on the strips were embroidered and not just a transfer

I suppose the question should be what’s different to make it £20 more than a hibs top?

Probably because it’s not a Hibs top?
Don't mention Rory Hutton. I did once but I think I got away with it.

Check with ER and SRU, I had the same problem last year with the emails and it transpired that the SRU/ER 'specialist email software provider' had suppressed my email address believing it not to exist. I had to send a proof email to SRU authorising them to use the address for mailings to sort the problem out.

And yet, still think I prefer the away shirt :P

Just went to the Scottish Rugby store at Murrayfield, the selection of stock was pretty poor, asked the lady behind the desk if they had anything in the back but it seems everything they have is put out, plus macron seem to just send them infrequent deliveries with unusual quantities so it's hard to predict when anything will be in.

The macron sizes are also a joke, last year I had a polycotton training t-shirt which was 3XL, fitted well. So i tried on a 3XL away top for size (I was after the home one), couldn't even get it over my shoulders. Ended up walking out the store with a scarf.

Checked the Macron website for their size guide, and it seems their sizes only go up about 1-1.5 inches on the chest between each size. And even then that's a snug fit, i'm a big chap, usually wear a 48 inch shirt, for my jersey, it seems i'll need the 5XL (48-50) or 6XL (50-52) which even then might be snug. Ended up ordering off Rugbystore.co.uk as they have all of the stuff in stock whereas the Scottish rugby store only had small.

I really hope we can ditch Macron at some point, really underwhelmed so far. Also whats wrong with just having a regular cotton top instead of all these synthetic tops?

I have it on reasonable authority that this discrepancy is a result of Macron having factories in China and in Europe. The European factories consistently make things smaller than the Chinese one, even if those things are ostensibly the same. I have two pairs of "Medium" macron shorts. One pair, from China, I can wear comfortably. The other pair, from the European factory, I cannot get into.

Your t-shirt was obviously a Chinese one.

Good luck with that 6XL top STKS. That will fit someone at c. 7ft tall. Get yourself a belt and it will double up as a mini dress.
Bill Mata. The second coming?

That is absolutely outrageous if true, they've had years to sort this! Amateur hour.

On cotton shirts, nobody makes them anymore do they?

A lot of manufacturers will make a"supporters jersey" which is often cotton. In fact did Macron not do that for Scotland?

I agree the sizing is amateurish at best. Bound to be costing sales as darent buy anything without trying on first, which is not ideal for birthday presents etc.
