Possibly not the game to go into with such an inexperienced second row against Fardy and Toner. Whist the new Fijian looks good in open play again the sort of game where Lewis Carmichael (or Steenkamp) at blindside would have been more helpful.
Still, thank goodness some actual rugby to deflect us from the event (or non-event) of Sunday morning!

yep, didn't take long to make the CHH loan look stupid, or even stupider. He'd be well ahead of any of he 3 locks in this squad

Would a haggis supper flying into Dublin mean the game is cancelled with 2 points each, or at least postponed until we’re full strength again. :D

Agreed. Can't help thinking there must have been some sort of fall out behind the scenes. Doesn't seem to make any sense in purely sporting terms. I was really looking forward to seeing CHH push on this season.

This, this, this. Hope Cockerill is asked about it pre match.

I think we need to get over the CHH thing. It's highly unlikely that Cockers didn't either rate him or want him but much more likely that Saracens liked the cut of his jib particularly whilst Kruis and Itoje were going to be missing and their stature and finances made some sort of deal inevitable.

Hodgson is a good prospect as well so hopefully he takes the chance to crack on.

Not to mention even on a "acadeny" loan most would jump at the chance to go down there IMO.

Lock situation not ideal, but it gives a chance to Hodgson and Sam Thomson to show what they can do. Hopefully they take it, as this is going to be a very difficult fixture. Leinster destroyed the O's last week, and our guys really need to perform to the top of their game if we aren't going to get a similar doing. It's a pity the Scott-Bennett partnership isn't going to get another outing, but it's not a fixture worth taking chances on a players fitness in. A win would be a fantastic result, a LBP a good result, and avoiding a heavy defeat a reasonable result.

Unbelievable-can't score against 13 men, then we lose a score at the end.
(And yet again the totally biased commentary like last week. Yet again you're made to feel there is only one team playing.)

Surely got to trust your backs against 13 men. We ran down the sin bin clock for them.
