We should probably give the Racing Metro game a good crack if we have the senior players.

We’ve had a diabolical season and a decent 40 minutes at the very end fills us with hope!
The young laddies do look good though

To be fair this season there's been no preseason and the international windows have gutted the squad.
I'd expect us to be competitive and close to the top again next season if things are back to normal-er.
And lots of young players have been exposed to pro rugby and done not too bad.

It's a fair point, but worth remembering that even with strong squads at the start of the season we were absolutely dire. Getting a team out with Sutherland/McInally/Watson could help us grind out a win in a game like today's, but probably won't get us up the top of the table.
The game against Racing will be a good test, technically there's still a chance at progression (however slim), are we going to keep up playing flat to the line or revert to the slower game plan?
