Odd bit of good play, Hutchison and Rowe looking good, but the errors and lack of ball control is so poor as it has been most of the season.

This tournament is strange because it's all seemed like preseason.

We've played okay. Definitely think Hutchison and Rowe have taken their chance so far.

To be fair, we are treating it like a preseason game with the selection and an attempt to play more openly.

Hutchinson and Rowe showing up well.

Sykes was quite chuffed to score his first try.

It's a messy game, we were lucky the half ended when it did because we were throwing them the ball almost every opportunity.

Hutchison looks great, if anything we're not getting him on the ball enough I don't think he's been stopped on the gainline yet

At full speed it looked like a soft collision, Yellow was fair I think

Twice now I don't think Hutchison's passing is professional quality.

Blain hasn't had a very good game.

Mixed I'd say, some good takes and physical tackles, but slipped off some stuff as well. Honestly thought that was a pretty harsh card

Nah he grabbed his arm and the guy had a nasty fall that's a yellow unfortunately.

Don't think Blain plays big enough or is quick enough to be really good.

Sykes is great though. Maul destroyer!

Yep I enjoyed a nice slice of humble pie.

I think he does run very good lines, that's a clear strength.

Why oh why are we letting Eroni Sau go. Letting go our best players is becoming a thing. I'd rather lose Matta or even Kinghorn.

I can only assume it's budget-related, and yeah, we can offload two backrowers to Glasgow and still have a great deal of depth there, but the back three is looking gie thin now.

Having said that, the young wingers and fullback laddies have all acquitted themselves well in the last few weeks, just few seniors players there

Strange that it hasn't been announced where he's going though, you'd assume if it were budget related then whoever had signed him would have said by now. Maybe we just couldn't offer as much as his last contract and he wanted to take his chances elsewhere.
