Edinburgh Rugby Supporters Newsletter #3

Dear Edinburgh Supporter

An injury hit Edinburgh side were knocked off the top of the Celtic League by the high flying Neath-Swansea Ospreys on Friday night.

Lets hope that the boys can get back to winning ways on Friday when Ulster visit Meadowbank. Ulster of course are sitting second in the league at the moment just two points ahead of the Gunners, so it will be another tough test. But with the Meadowbank crowd behind them, I'm sure that the boys will give it their all.

A win could see Edinburgh reclaim the top spot with third-place Llanelli facing a tough trip to Connacht on Friday night too and the Ospreys travelling to Cardiff on Saturday.

You can keep up to date with all of the latest news on the official Celtic League website at http://www.celticleague.com.

Clubroom

As promised in the last newsletter a number of changes have been introduced to the clubroom. As this is your clubroom we would love to hear your views on what you think we are doing well and what you would like to see us do to help to make the clubroom the best way to round off a night at the rugby. http://www.edinburghgunners.org.uk/index.php?pageid=membership.htm

I'd like to take this opportunity to congratulate Simon Webster on winning the first Supporters Club ' Man of the Match' after a fantastic display against Llanelli. Also thank you to Craig Joiner and Nathan Pike for taking part in our Press Conference. As mentioned before it is good to see so many of the players coming along to the Clubroom after a match and it is a great chance for fans to get closer to team.

So to have your chance to vote for you Man of the Match, put your questions to some of the Gunners squad or just relax with fellow fans come along to the clubroom, which is open before and after the match.

Rugby World Cup

It was great to see so many people getting behind the Scotland team on Sunday morning at Sportsters Bar in Market Street, and amazing how many people can get a Monday morning off work! But this is the big one!!!

So if you want some good food, fine beer, great craic and a big match atmosphere when Scotland take on France in Sydney on Saturday morning, then head down to Sportsters Bar. http://www.edinburghgunners.org.uk/index.php?pageid=events.htm
