Webster to Start against Toulouse

Mike Pyke on Bench

Edinburgh Gunners' wing Simon Webster has been called into the starting line-up to face Toulouse in the Heineken Cup at Murrayfield tomorrow (Saturday 10 December, kick-off 4pm).

Webster, who scored the winning try in the 32-31 win over London Wasps in the Gunners' last home match in this competition, will replace Argentinean international Francisco Leonelli who has been forced out with a groin strain. Canadian international Michael Pyke will replace Webster on the bench.

Edinburgh Gunners' interim head coach Todd Blackadder said: "Francisco's injury is nothing too serious but we've decided to bring Simon Webster into the starting line. He is on fire at the moment so I don't feel we've lost anything with the switch. It also gives Mike Pyke a chance to play in his first Heineken Cup game."

Meanwhile, Toulouse have their own worries. Several French internationalists are being rested following Guy Noves' outspoken attack on French coach Bernard Laporte for over-working them (or in Noves' memorable expression "squeezing (the players) like lemons" - maybe he's a Led Zeppelin fan*.) Florian Fritz, Frédéric Michalak and Omar Hasan are amongst those rested. Also missing due to suspension is Fabien Pelous, whilst Daan Human, Aidan McCullen, Trevor Brennan and Isitolo Maka are all out injured.

The published Toulouse team is:

15 Gareth Thomas
14 Vincent Clerc
13 Yannick Jauzion
12 Xavier Garbajosa
11 Cédric Heymans
10 Jean-Frédéric Dubois
9 Jean-Baptiste Elissalde
