As understand it, Worcester are to be wound up today. The company that holds the players' contracts will also be wound up unless the court opts for an adjournment. If this company is wound up the players will be free to leave.
Since the players haven't been paid for September, they will be free to leave on October the 15th, if the adjournment happens.

Scotland's first game is in just over three weeks.

Seems that the "players" company has indeed been put into liquidation this morning.Given that I wonder if the various notice periods being bandied about are now relevant ,? If not presumably the players are free to move on immediately.Equally if so those players now loaned out to Bath are also free agents as there is no company left to loan them out surely?
I am sure we will hear some news on DVDM and Sutherland within the next couple of days- though whether involving Edinburgh (or Glasgow) or somewhere else who knows.

Sutherland reported to be signing for ulster now. Least he appears to have options!

Maybe that was the thing that "had to give" after signing Duhan on a long-term deal, we couldn't afford both?

Good luck to RS, but I'd rather he wasn't with a direct rival.

Anyways, I hope McCallum comes back to us.

According to the Irish journalist Sutherland's deal is only until the end of the season (in part as they are chasing Steven Kitchoff post World Cup. If so a bit surprising as with a young family seems a short time to uproot when, reportedly,Glasgow ,Bath and Lyon were also interested.Would have thought a longer contract would have suited him at this stage of his career.

Gives him certainty for this season (and possibly champions Cup rugby) plus perhaps allows more options for longer term deals come the end of season when more clubs will be looking at contracts etc rather than picking from the small number who have budget now.
