Our away form (in URC) has been utterly honking (for years) so expectations low...

However it is a great opportunity for a number of the young lads in the squad to get an opportunity.

Good to see Harry Paterson back hopefully he stays fit.

Freddy Douglas is in the U20 squad and due back shortly as well. With McConnell and Currie coming through (Muncaster still young) backrow looks to have a strong pipeline of talent still.

Fixed it for you...

Discipline is very very poor but they dont really have any idea. They look like they have just met each other and have had no preparation for the game. Everyone knows how the Scarlets play at home apart from our coaching team! Everitt really needs to go!

How many times were Scarlets told to get hands off and yet not pinged

A try BP and losing BP, it could be worse away from home.

A lot of young lads but good teams they come in seamlessly we are a mile from that, disjointed and discipline no where near good enough.

Disjointed play, and Piardi all mouth but no action.

Poor discipline killed our chances of a win. Healey had his best game for a while and the newbies looked good, a bit of composure and better discipline and it would have been a win but a losing BP is about as much as we deserved

Scarlets were poor yesterday and we had 9 internationalists, two of whom are British Lions, in our team plus another couple of internationalists on the bench. Yes we had youngish guy on the wing but overall this was an experienced and seasoned team we put out. Despite this we looked lost at times, gave away stupid penalties, failed to control the set piece and played with the look of a team who had only just met in the car park. We could and should have won that game but lacked the confidence and cutting edge to make the most of what we had. How many times were we in a good position but then marched back 60-70 yards giving away penalty after stupid penalty? What do we do on the training paddock during the week?

Despite a good and deep squad Everitt has added nothing this season and indeed there is a strong argument we have gone backwards instead. We have no discernible style of play, the players look lost and hesitant and many seem to lack trust in their own skills. Our attack has been awful with little imagination nor adaption for teams we are up against. How many times did we try a pass out deep in midfield and get crunched by the Scarlets rush defence, it was almost like the Scarlets defence knew what we were going to do before we did! We rarely get the ball quickly and in space to our back 3 in attack despite VdM and Darcy being two of the most potent wingers in the league. It has been awful and frustrating in equal measures to watch. Only the players professional pride seems to have got us over the line in a few games.

Everitt is clearly struggling and it looks like the players, along with us supporters, dont believe in him. He was never our preferred option and it is now easy to see why. His limited experience with the Sharks, and the criticism he received at the end of his tenure, is now showing up. The SRU need to be brave and move him on asap before he does even more damage to the morale and confidence in the squad. He is not the man to move us forward, we are at the wrong end of the table and dont look like making it into the top half by the end of the year. He has to go!

If there was anything positive to take out of this it was losing bonus points and run out for Liam McConnell and Tom Currie but if there was an opportunity to win away this was it and frankly we looked all over the place at times as a cohesive force. Some strong individual moments from Matt Currie , Tom Dodd, Watson & Harrison but so fragmented overall against a fairly under strength Scarlets. Reality check after last few good wins v limited opposition.
