40mins of this season enough time to see a need to revive this thread.

WTF have they been doing in pre-season not defensive work.

Sack them now, why wait to not offer them new contracts once the season is done.

Bullshit pen to lose it, but we offered so little predictable, ponderous, awful ruck speed. Nothing has LawrenceBryce changed.

Really poor ponderous disjointed display .. that’s as much a coaching deficiency as it is players . Healy continues trend of season 23/24 . Hopefully Thomson , Matt Currie& Darcy fit soon . They raise our levels.

Just home from Parma, Whitehouse makes decisions based on the weather? Something needs to change and Im not certain it’s the squad.

Then I checked the league results and saw the Stormers:Leinster score!

As the instigator of this thread I had hoped I wouldn't be seeing it again this season! Almost every word I said first time round still applies. I watched the match in dismay, all the same rubbish I moaned about last season played out again. I could go through all the same issues again, the aimless kicking ball away, lack of cohesion in midfield, poor one on one defence, etc but I wont. As the saying goes just doing the same this time and time again and expecting a different result doesn't deliver success. So poor and so depressing!

It was a poor performance and many of the seasoned pros looked like they were still on the beach in Marbella or wherever pro sports people holiday these days.
Paul Hill was quoted on the Beeb saying "We want to win the league." Well I want a £200 million lottery win, start dating Selena Gomez and buy a house in Monaco, so I guess if I can get a BBC reporter to publish that, I'm there! I would have to start by buying a lottery ticket. Ambition is great, but it needs to be backed up by effort and there wasn't too much on display in Parma. Self reflection and a realisation of where we are would help. At least we're top of the bottom half.

Ive no issue with players being confident and ambitious, if he had said he hoped we would make the top 8, then we would criticise him for accepting mediocrity

The thing is you have to back it up, not necessarily hit the goal, but show intent. If we had lost and given it a good go to Leinster or in South Africa then fair enough, but this was Zebre, we just have to be beating them if we want to be taken seriously. I cant see us making top 4, but we should at least be competing for that and in the top 8, its games like this that make the whole season a struggle.

I was listening to the interview with Everitt and he was talking about the slow start last year and how it cost us at the tail end, we seem doomed to make the same mistake again. My concern is we did hit a purple patch last year and sneaked into a respectable position, a big pat of that was Ritchie and Price though, who is going to be able to do that this year?
