AGM Notice

[ER Foundation board]

The Edinburgh Rugby Foundation AGM will be held on Wednesday 27th May 2009 at 7.30pm in the Mansfield box, Murrayfield Stadium. All ERF members are invited to attend, however please note that only members, aged 16 and over, are allowed to vote ? please ensure you have either your membership card or other identification with you.

As ERF has been going for 3 years, we have now reached a stage where a significant number of the current board have reached the end of their terms of office, and will now be stepping down. We therefore require more members who are willing to join the board, to carry on the work of the Foundation. If you are interested in joining the board please complete a nomination form available at www.edinburghrugbyfoundation.org.uk.

For anyone who is considering joining the board it is important to note that essentially the hard work stage is already completed. Now that the Foundation is fully up and running, the commitment required to keep it ticking over, is minimal. The rules only require a minimum number of 4 board meetings per year and anything in addition to this, is for the board to decide for themselves.

Obviously it is hoped that fundraising efforts and other activities, in keeping with the Foundation rules, will continue, but please don?t be put off volunteering by thinking a huge commitment is required. We very much hope that members will agree this is a worthwhile venture and will step forward to assist in the running of the Foundation. Members should also be aware that the Foundation has a minimum number of board members we must have, therefore unless we get enough new board members at this AGM, we will no longer be viable as an organisation. We very much hope after all the efforts of the past three years that we do not require to progress to dissolution of the Foundation.
