Second row strong, back row is going to be light a ball carrier once Mata heads south unless Bradbury heads back as rumored.

Back 3 also strong particularly if Goosen extends stay.

Could do with more 9/10 depth assuming Price off and Savalas face does not fit and he won't return.

I was quite positive at the start of current season about squad strength but even allowing for injuries it feels like it is on course to underperform again. Midfield on paper is good but don't seem to get quality ball which filters out to back 3. Feels like our attacking creativity departed with Kinghorn.

Totally agree with the last para, not sure what the issue is but we are very predictable. Lang seems to play well whenever he gets a chance, but is clearly well down the pecking order at 12.

Its probably the biggest issue we have. That at a lack of out and out aggression in the forwards. Mata will be impossible to replace in terms of his carrying, but I still have hopes that Muncaster can be the big powerful carrier we will need.

Agree with most of the above.
Crosbie to 8 for me to boost the ball carrying options. Decide whether Skinner is a second row or a 6. The centres just don't gel - Lang and Currie can take it into and through contact really well, but there's very little in the way of any balance between 12 and 13. A rapier to support the broadsword ( ancient rugby cliche No. 8 ! ). Bennett probably has a season or two left but I'm not convinced he's still the answer - or indeed anyone in the current squad. And I bang on about this, but the passing down the line is so poor, it's little wonder gaps don't appear.
