How's Richie Rees doing these days? Still think there couldn't be a worse signing ?

I said he was worse that the SH we let go and I stand by that?

What do you think of our coach who let Kennedy go to the Weegies?

Wow an 'I told you so post' who would have expected it?!
More than a couple of lines in your posts as well, assume you have had a few beers then?

Hilarious, considering some of your posts at night put Kertim to shame I assume you were at the sauce yourself.

You do know what hindsight means dont you?

Considering I made my views clear from day 1 of his appointment, hindsight was not required

self explanatory, but anyway try post 316 here for starters where himself says of Rees and Yapp that he can't think of 2 worse signings

So what, Rees has turned out better than I thought. Does that invalidate my opinion on Bradley?

you had both condemned before they got here. Do you think that getting one wrong (very wrong on the evidence so far) enhances your opinion on the other?

Don't bother to answer, the point has been made. Stick to predicting the end of the world, one day you'll be right about that as well.

My gawd, could you be any more shrill.

You've made about 4 posts on this thread and not once have you actually addressed the subject.

The point I was making was that you didn't "know" Bradley was clueless at all, you had an opinion based on his time at Connacht, who - let's face it - are going to struggle whoever is in charge. I see Elwood has learned the lesson and is getting out of there while he's ahead.

And if you're going to be that pedantic about it, I was talking about hindsight being required on my part, not yours.

ah,the deflection move!

The point is that you condemn just about everyone before they get a chance here. And aren't big enough to come on and say you got it wrong even when you clearly got it wrong. Even when offered the opportunity.

If you condemn everyone, you WILL get one right sometime. Condemn everyone and your opinion has little value, except to yourself.

Rees has shown he is one of the best signings this season. He would run rings around Blair at moment.
Just a pity some of the players, and new signings have not stepped-up to the mark yet this season.

Given that Blair is injured, that's a given.

Blair is a much more rounded player than Rees. Rees has been excellent snapping round the fringes, but I'm not even that sure he's made more breaks than Blair would. When he has there have been instances where he had to look for the pass where Blair would have had the pace to go on himself. He also doesn't do as much sweeping as Blair did. That was one of Blair's huge strengths, both his covering of kicks and his tackling.

There were times last season when Blair posted his performance in, up till we got to the later stages of the HEC. Rees has been better than the Blair who was cruising early in the season, but he showed at the business end he still has the class. I said at the time and remain convinced that losing Blair was a huge loss.

It is distinctly noticeable that Laidlaw at 10 has, so far this season, been half the player with Rees or Leck inside him than he was with Blair inside him.

Rees has been individually good, but he has not linked with the players around him as well as Blair did. I am sure that given time he will develop some of the understanding that Blair had with Laidlaw, but I am unsure he has quite the rugby brain that Blair has, and thus will never have that instinctive connection that Blair and Laidlaw seemed to enjoy.

I also believe that Rees is only the second best scrum half at the club.

Your overall point makes sense as Rees is very much a forwards scrum half, whereas Blair is more of a Backs Scrum Half. Very possibly a factor in Laidlaw's form - although the bigger factor is presumably that Grieg is, in fact, a scrum half filling in at 10.

Should have spent the money on a 10!
