I think Yapp is a decent squad player but perhaps we should be looking for a better loose head for the first team.
Rees is not a journeyman, he is a very good player in my opinion. However, playing as a scrum half in a team that is losing all the collisions and failing to get over the gain line, must be very difficult.

I hate to say it as it seems to be a bit a scumball mentality, but I think it is time for the coaching team to go. I wouldn't mind too much if Back was allowed to stay as he has only been here a couple of months but similarly I wouldn't really care if he went either!

What we would do for a Dean Richards!!!

At last a sensible post :!:

The coaching has to be suspect. Whether it be the Head Coach and/or his underlings who are not getting their message through to the players.

Last year's league results and this years results have been about the worst on record.

Home League Games % wins 43%. Away League Games % wins 14%. (Total League Games 28)

Perhaps reaching the SF was the worst thing that happened, for I think that thought is that all in the garden was smelling of roses. Where all it did was cover up the dismal performances in the league.

My answer to your question is, 'none' in the Edinburgh team. Some have been adequate, at best, but none playing 'well'. But CP seems confused as to what you're asking.

How exactly am I wriggling?

You replied to someone else and then asked them a question, but because you're a bit simple you're now following me around like a puppy - why exactly do I have to answer a question you asked of someone else?

But, to stop you following me around the answer is none.

Wouldnt worry too much about the forgeiners.
Care to name any SCOTISH PLAYERS that has been, or is, playing well this season :?:

I'll type this slowly for you - you weren't asking me, as I made no reference to forgeiners (sic).

Honestly - WTF have you been watching?

Talei was utter gash, gave up and then wimped off. Yapp is just utter utter rubbish. Titterall too.

Rees is a journeyman with the acceleration of a prop and a propensity to pass way above his 10s head. Tonks hasn't been quite as gash as the rest, but that's hardly anything to crow about.

All forgeiners you have a gripe about :!:
What about the local lads, lets have your one-eyed obscure opinion on them, and how they are doing this season :?:

Any takers, including corneredposter :?:

I don't think any of the players, regardless of their nationality, are playing to their potential and that suggests to me that they are not being coached at all well.

I disagree that we should keep Back as he is the only change to last season's coaching staff and our forwards have been even worse under his tutelage, especially Denton and Rennie who were being quoted as potential Lions until he got his dead fingers on them. He was s••t at Leeds and is proving it all over again now. Get f•••••g rid ASAP.

I think De Luca has been playing fairly well, if only in defence.
Mcinally had also been in reasonable form until today (I missed the 2nd half due to work)

I started writing out who I thought the poor players were but realised that the list is too extensive.
I reiterate that I don't think it would take much to fix this team. It could have been a different story today if we had managed to get over the gain line, gain parity in the contact situations and managed to keep hold of the ball. However, the Munster players just seemed to want it more and it showed in the way they dominated and suffocated our play. One moment in particular exemplified this, when Talai, whom we can normally rely on for yards was carried back over our try line by Connor Murray and the Munster eight.

On a side note I can understand what Bradley was trying to do by including Mcinally at seven, however, it was a risk and unfortunately for him it didn't work out.

Agree with that.
What annoys me, is when you get idiotic and moronic posters like corneredposter, trying to blame the forgeiners on the whole teams poor performances.
Its not the forgeiners that needs a rocket, its the Scotch guys !

Sorry CP, but I can't agree with your Rees 'journeyman' post. He has been by some margin Edinburgh's best back (Visser has had some great finishes, but is as culpable for poor decision making and kicks). It was obvious that the poor passes were due to having to fling the ball out from the ruck (on the few occasions that we didn't 'hold on', or lacked numbers/effort) before we got pinged again. He has been giving it his all, and Dan Carter would have looked WayneBarnes awful behind that pack.

In a previous post of mine I pointed out that Rees has a great break, but is a weak tackler, has no top end pace, and doesn't pass well. Apart from that he's fine.

Rees is good behind a pack going forward. But he's not much cop when on the back foot and that's where he's been most of the last few games. He has got heart and gives his all though.
