Worcester not paying players on time this week - no money! I expect a few to move on now inc VdM.

So is their match against Glasgow on Friday night likely to go ahead?

Apparently their shirt sponsor is paying their travel expenses but who knows if they will play and who will turnout for them!

Game is off, players quite rightly need to ensure they are available to move elsewhere if that opportunity arises and focus on their next opportunity etc. Real shame and hopefully Glasgow can put something/anything in place quickly.

Players quite rightly looking after themselves, they are in a horrible position.

Good that Ayrshire Bull have stepped in to make sure the game goes ahead, good to see Inverness getting a game.

Hadn't realised until an article in the Times today that Stevie Scott is now coaching at Worcester. Bit of an understatement to say it's an awkward start for him.

Worcester suspended from premiership! When does SRU try and get VdM and Sutherland out of there then? With Autumn Internationals coming up we need them available!

Big budget needed for that though even if they'd probably each have to take quite a drop in salary (Duhan reportedly was on 325k I recall?).Although I'd love to see them here is it fair to others in their positions.
Perhaps Macallum with his versatility and much lower salary expectations more likely to come back here (or to Glasgow)?

Things should move quickly at Worcester. Top earners will probably have their contracts ripped up. Skeleton squad may be able to limp on but it’s not easy given it’s the front end of the season. HMRC unwilling to allow sports clubs to forego paying debts for working capital. It’s a mess and the next 48hrs are critical. Administrations in football suggest that it will be difficult to survive this. Really unstable across that league. Do they have the will and finances to help clubs like Worcester etc? I would agree that helping our internationals to keep playing is worthwhile

I saw Sutherland might go to Bath.

Saw the same - Bath lost a prop with season ending injury. He would certainly get game time there.

I am sure SRU will have seen this coming for a while, been in regular contact with the Scots players and set aside an emergency budget for any contingency required. Probably up to the players as to what happens next? Either way they need to be supported.

Thistle rugby pod tweeting that both sutherland and duhan may be on way back. Sutherland on loan, duhan "possibly" permanent.
