Not a terrible half I suppose.

Atalifo, Davidson, Bradbury, Miller, Mata, Sau having good games. Chamberlain very solid.

Hmm, ref seemed very quick To give the try.

Has to be a more than 7 point wind though so encouraging.

Poor half, when the wind against you is this tough you can't rely on kicking all your possession, but we basically don't seem to have any other game plan so that's what we're doing.

Thought we defended solidly at least and brought ourselves back into the game, but some really dense penalties there gave them an easy try at the end. Chamberlain at least is taking this opportunity well.

The try at the close of the half was disappointing but that was a reasonable performance given the wind disadvantage. We were making no ground at all on kicks and they were getting camped in our 22 at will.

Shiel didn't play the conditions very well though.

Chamberlain, MIller and Sau all having good games.

Beginning to accept Shiel isn't actually all that great. Not that the game plan exactly plays to his strengths, but his decision making is just TonySpreadbury sometimes. If he was 19 then fair enough, but he's in his mid-20s now.

given the start and naivety of Sheil kicking, its a place to win from. That wind can still be a killer if kick too far and ball goes dead

His decision making wouldn't be such a problem if Edinburgh didn't play off 9. I just don't think Cockerill is the coach to get his full potential met.

It's annoying as you really see it sometimes and he ruins it all with a careless decision. If you're going to play with a Petit Generale you need a rock solid gameplan.

Fair comment, he hasn't shone in his opportunities. I'd still play him for the rest of the season though, Pyrgos and Groom have had absolute horror shows this season so they aren't any better (now at least).

In game time he is still very young, this time next year he will be behind Dobie in minutes played.

It’s such a waste
