Agree TH it is the manner of the defeat rather than the defeat itself that frustrates.

Could really have done with Fraser McKenzies leadership on Friday night.

Hindsight is wonderful but could some of the young guys who were thrown in together been introduced at different times earlier in the season so they had a little more experience, even just the odd 10-15 mins next to Gilchirst or Toolis, although it is reasonable to think the experience roundabout them should have stepped up.

Delighted for Graham that he has been called up but think we are pretty sparse for cover now, unless one of Brown or Hoyland are fit, i assume we may see Farndale or maybe Blain again in the back 3 with Fife and VDM. Or does Johnstone move to the wing with Socino coming in and maybe Taylor on the bench?

Back row of Mata, Mason and Hamilton with a youngster on the bench, or is Hamilton perhaps going to be benching for Scotland given injuries and outside of window unavailables.

Pretty thin on the ground anyway.

Pretty sure Tom Brown played for Accies a couple of weeks ago and then was withdrawn from clubs duty 9 days ago presumably to be 24th man for the Toulon game.So hopefully he is fit for Scalets on Friday as both Graham and Fife are like to be needed as bench/travelling reserve (24th etc man) in Wales with only Kinghorn,Lee Jones and Seymour available from the back three selections who play in Scotland.

Offside line had Hoyland hobbling off for Sonians at the weekend.

What's up with Van Der Walt? He can play fullback can't he?

As presumably Scotland likely to need both Bergham and Macallum to travel who is next in line to cover tighthead along with Cecarelli on Friday?

Presumably Dan Winning, who's been a stage 3 academy player for a couple of years now. I think he plays tighthead.

Not being funny, but its a joke if Fife gets anywhere near a Scotland Squad with his brainfarts in defence!

Winning's yet to play a game this season for Boroughmuir so I think he must be injured. Edinburgh's other Academy TH, Duncan Ferguson, has played a few times for Watsonians but has missed their last 3 matches so may also be injured.

There is nothing quite like an International windows to highlight just how many injuries there are in the modern game.
Bill Mata. The second coming?
