There's a lot in there, but one of the things that stood out to me is the bit about him missing his son's birth. It's just utterly bonkers that they thought the best thing to do was take a player who has had two hours sleep and whose partner is in hospital to play an away rugby game. I get that Ritchie is a very driven person, who trusted the medical advice that he was unlikely to miss the birth and probably champing at the bit to take any opportunity to get his career going...but surely the coaching team should be saying "Look, don't worry about rugby right now, we'll make sure that stuff's sorted."?
