Struggling to get turned right out if my street today and I guy let me out. Gave him the thank you wave and realised it was JJ! Here's hoping that his accrued karma leads to hat trick tonight!

Honking game.

We are missing a proper 2nd row at set piece and without the Crosbie or Ritchie option at lineout we are struggling. Scrum we are not getting the decisions but potentially the lack of proper 2nd impacting that as well.

Positives Chamberlain looked ok for first match, kicking from hand better than hastings.

And a Scotland front row with Schoe and fagerson is one to look forward to!

Edit: we are a second half team anyway, still confident but hope cockerill makes changes.

As bad a performance under Cockers as we've had.

Glad I didn't pay forty quid to watch that.
Don't mention Rory Hutton. I did once but I think I got away with it.

Thinking exactly the same. No intensity and set peice a bit of a mess.

Not an easy game but a reality check for a Charlie Shiel. Frostwick looked sharp.

I actually thought Shiel did his job, he got quick ball away and was always there to make the pass, one of the very few with pass marks imo

Positives and negatives. All felt a bit pre-seasony. Not overly concerned and looking forward to next weekend:

A nothing game and it showed, tough watch.

Set piece was awful.

May be interpretation but Sutherland looked to have the better of fagerson, fagerson the better of Schoe.

Need to play proper 2nd row if fit.

Thought the young lads were protected but did nothing wrong.

Need to be miles sharper and more accurate next week.

Protected too much imho. Edinburgh were in effect a man or two down as player were not trusted.

They looked like they were switched off, especially compared to Glasgow.

Lineout was dire, and the scrum was a mess as well, Schoeman I thought had a pretty rough game, on the wrong side of the ref and gave away a few turnovers in open play.

The only positive (not a big one) is that the young guys weren't too bad, but they still weren't great and Shiel really needs to improve his box-kicks. How many times does he get charged down?

Game was summed up at the end when we got turned over, threw a couple of nothing passes in our own 22 and Kinghorn knocks on under no real pressure, has to be a huge wake-up for the next if they want to be even competitive next week.

I am undecided on if it was too much. It was a nothing game so let them go for it, or without pyrgos or groom to help out sheil was our most experienced half back so minimise risk.

Ultimately I am not sure 9/10 selection cost us the match, more application across the board and a TonySpreadbury poor set piece particularly lineout.
