Even if were possible to stage the game the day after it being called off more or less at kick-off time, I'm not sure it's in the players' interest.
They trained this week to be ready for half past seven on a Friday night, at the minimum you'd need to jump a day to Sunday, but that is unrealistic too because a decision from the league couldn't be made until today.

You need more than 24 hours notice to prepare for a professional rugby match.

I realise it's probably the norm these days, but Wilson's comment that his players were running the pre match caffeine out of their system is something not many coaches would openly admit to.

Aye, it's all skinny lattes and cinnamon mochas over in Glasgow these days.

Is this a joke? Pre-match supplements including caffeine etc are commonplace. Half of the bros in your standard gym take pre-workout supplements these days.

Incompetent Glasgow management on this one , no other explanation for it. Too much trust given to limitations of 4 G which is really designed to ensure sport playable in wet conditions. Not a deep fnight rost .

You will have read that the groundsmen from Murrayfield were over in the west assisting... you'll be looking forward to your own plastic pitch in minifield.

Interesting in that apart from Munster v Leinster being rescheduled for the following weekend there are no more Pro 14 games over the next fortnight.Equally the Premiership are having a two week break.
Given the last Saturday this month has no regular Pro 14 fixtures(though the Premiership resumes) there are going to be some seriously undercooked players surelycome the start of the 6N on 7th February (if it goes ahead)?

All other postponed games require crossing borders.

I cant see the 6n going ahead on the schedule. Pro14 will also struggle to keep going. Im planning on making the most of this weekend, might be the last we see for a while in Scotland.

Hopefully we will have Duhan and Darcy back, the rest of the team probably wont change I don't think, although Id start Nel, be good to see how he gets on against Kebble and might take a bit more energy out of him.

The Zebre game has been rescheduled for Saturday 23rd.

I'll be surprised if it goes ahead.

Yeah bit odd to reschedule unless it is ahead of an expected tightening of restrictions around pro sports.

Would it not have been more sensible to bring forward the rescheduled match v Dragons (now 13th feb) to that date to avoid overseas travel?(and with the zebra match put back to 13th Feb in the hope things have eased up a bit to make it safer)

Seems sensible to get it in and played while they can.
