Shirl's box kicking has been putting them under a lot of pressure.

Here is as good a place as any to ask. At every scrum, several Edinburgh players will shout "Argentina", so:

  • Does anyone know what this call means?
  • What's the point of scrum calls if you do the same one at every scrum?

Could be psychological? They hear Argentina and they snap into "scrum mode"? All I can think of.

it was a win. Nothing else to take from that, and got that cos Zebre didn't kick easy pens

Farndale MoM for intercept try, offload for Bennett's and I think no obvious errors

When I saw he was on to take that throw I put my head in my hands, you just knew it was coming.

I'll take the win, but we weren't very good, Zebre were awful.

Plus points, Big Bill looks like he is getting back into the groove, Farndale had two chances to influence the game and took them both, errrr, that's about it.

I do like watching Eroni "The Sledgehammer" Sau make his tackles

There used to be one of "Castle" when they were setting the defensive line, so yeah, I think it's a call to get everyone on point, so to speak.

We weren't great, but it does look like we're trying to play a bit more positively. It's not coming off brilliantly, but we did run more often and with a few decoys in the line.

They've been doing it for years as well, I'm sure I used to hear it when I lived in the UK and could go to games. I presume it's a short way of saying "Let's scrum them off the park".

I'm not sure if we lose much with Blain,Graham and Farndale in the back three?
Farndale never lets us down on the little ball he sees.He was excellent today.happy with those three during 6N period-and hopefully Hoyland back soon as well.
Taylor? Red really? Very harsh on the lad especially when you think of the "assault"on him at Scarlets that put him out for nearly three months.

I thought the Red was harsh too, man was trying to turn away from the tackle, but they will say need to go lower to prevent mistakes?

Shame to see Grahamslaw and Chamberlain unused. Again.

A win is a win though. Farndale looks to have a good all round game, been solid everytime I've see him for us.

It's shoulder to head and he arrives upright. That's a red, it's a technical offence. No chance he meant it. But it is a red.

Farndale is a great story. Unreal age grade player, career ruined by two horrendous knee injuries, becomes a good 7s player and then finds some 15s game time.
