If Crosbie isn't playing 8 in a game like this then it's never going to happen, which is a shame, I thought he had real potential for that position.

Having said that, the pack is decent, if inexperienced. If they can get good ball that backline looks tasty.

lot of youth getting a chance which is good to see, hopefully it continues through the rainbow cup and they get decent exposure.

It is great to see a lot of youngsters get a game, but they do need games with the 1st or 2nd choice players too. Would be too easy to write off players playing in pretty much a scratch side.

Muncaster looks the part, a decent early gallop from young Currie.

Far too many mistakes, missed tackles, a couple of poor passes or the receivers just delaying that fraction too long.
Missing touch is just not good enough.

Zebre are worth their lead, their 8 is playing well, he is pretty young himself iirc

Agreed on Muncaster and Currie.

Not sure Sykes is ready.

Nicely worked try but generally some poor execution and particularly the kicking from both Chamberlain and Kinghorn hasn't been up to scratch.

Yeah agree, our kicking game in general pretty poor tonight.

Young lads showing up well, some positive play nice loop move for try but errors, as have been all season, killing us.

Think the young guys were outstanding today. Shiel was excellent, Crosbie best he played all season, Sykes was a beast. Currie is going to be very very good.

Good enjoyable rugby again!

Well, it’s a win and some good performances from the young players.

The backrow is well stocked and I thought Crosbie captained the side well, I was calling for the corner at the end but the pragmatic decision to go for the three points took us well clear.

We looked far better in the second half, but it was a bit patchy, we took the foot off the gas a couple of times instead of ramping up the intensity.

Lots to be encouraged about I think.

A few errors but it was effectively a scratch side full of some players very short of game time and some who haven't had a game for a couple of weeks.

Worked through the mistakes and got the win. Exactly what we want from this type of game.

FKL, I agree on Shiel, his pass is the best we have.

Dean looked very classy when he came on.

Crosbie was great, getting back to where he was, deserved PoM.

Of the young guys thought Sykes and Hodgson kept up with the physicality fairly well, Muncaster was busy and looks very promising. Boyle and Harrison had very solid showings off the bench. Chamberlain didn't have a great game, passing was wobbly, Shiel was alright, only one bonkers decision today. Currie though was fantastic, just looks absolutely composed in defence and attack, the kind of player who almost always makes the right decision.

Overall we were just OK, can't ignore the dire first half. Should have scored more in the second with the total dominance we had, but the important thing was the win.

Good second half. Kicking much better, errors down, controlled game well.

Currie looks a natural always calm making good decisions.

Muncaster looks good very vocal, bit of the matt Fagerson about him very abrasive.

Crosbie worthy of motm.

Thought Harrison and Boyle did very well off bench.

Young lads who have been training together looked to have enjoyed that win together, good stuff.

Also possibly one of willemse best games as well.

Probably helpful for young Harrison coming on with Schoeman and Nel to dominate the scrum
