Good to see Crosbie and Sykes in there, we are going to need a lot of dog up front.

Agree it's the game for Sykes and Crosbie as they're aggressors. Big test/opportunity for Jack Blain. I don't see it with him yet and Malins is one of the best in the business. Big test ahead.

Goes without saying but pack and set piece in particular has to go well for us to have any chance. Think our scrum should be fine, if reffed properly fancy Nel to give Vunipola a tough afternoon. But it is our lineout that needs to be better than it has been, opposition have disrupted us far too much so far this season.

Earl v Watson battle at 7 should be a good one.

Agree with above huge step up out of comfort zones and on paper Sarries look stronger. Our best performances in Europe in recent years have as much been about mentality and will be interesting to see if we have the same steel in our team as we had the v likes of Toulon , Montpellier, Sale et Al . No Mata, Ritchie , Graham , Dean , Kinghorn , VDM et Al from those contests but cometh the man and hour and all that … Excitin!!

Think we've lost more than Sarries have, and our squad is probably not as strong as theirs to start with. I expect we'll take a bit of a pounding tbh, though it'll be interesting to see if playing stronger sides in the URC this year will give us a harder edge than we've had previously.

Huge test for Savala given he's only started one game for us I believe. At least he's not against their first choice half backs. But such a critical position so no hiding place. Some comfort that VDW is on the bench if things going badly wrong.
I'm not quite as pessimistic as the last poster.I would be hoping that we have an advantage in the scrummaging with Koch missing.WP v Mako could be a very tasty battle! Worry is more the lineout where we've been misfiring all season. If we can win our own ball there consistently that will make a huge difference. I do wonder oif Sarries think CHH will play a blinder against his old club as he's been well down their 2nd row pecking order this season.

Edinburgh take the lead 0-3. Hope it doesn’t make them angry.

Trying to follow on the website.

Sounds like decent shift from the pack so far and boffelli knocking over everything (?) Makes a difference keeping scoreboard ticking over.

I’m flicking between the website and the BBC, both very slow unfortunately.

Game seesawing back and forth, hopefully we’re to the fore at the end.

Great stuff.Nel's scrummaging won that game (and a try to boot!)
Lineout did better than I expected.Pyrgos gave good impact.
