Darcy has been fantastic, 11 tries in 9 Edinburgh games this season, defenders littering the turf in vain attempts to tackle him, his work under the high ball is superb. His defence is probably as good as any back in the team, if not better.

Boff is our leading points scorer.

But for me the trophy should go to Luke Crosbie, he's been dynamite this year and his all-blood-and-snotters approach sums up what the Caulie Lug is all about.

For me Mata has carried a huge amount this season and played most games maybe not the offloads of past season but tackles and carriers have been huge.

WP probably deserves an award of his own and possibly should have won this already would be happy for him to take it.

Schoeman and Cherry always in the running, Gilchrist, Crosbie, Skinner all had strong seasons in the pack. Dean if he had not been injured perhaps would be in with a shout, he did pack down at least once so "qualifies", Boffelli maybe an outside shout.

Mata or WP for me though

Actually, WP is a great shout, he just gets on with being a beast in the scrum, no fuss.

Crosbie again.

Certainly gives his all every match but would have liked to see WP or Mata recognised.

Crosbie also picked up man of steel at awards dinner and player of the season and players player of the season.
