Edinburgh v Glasgow 30Dec

bit of a full on arm wrestle of a game plenty commitment from both sides, hopefully not too many injuries ahead of the 6N.

Thought we deserved win played more rugby but still struggle in the last 10m, we need to keep shape better and need to be more prepared for us making a break too many lack support.

Glasgow looked a bit short of ideas outwith kick to corner and maul. Our midfield kept tuipolotu in check pretty well, thought Crosbie had a good game.

Did we had scrum advantage at about 79mins plus and instead of.taking it Healy put an up and under up, was this correct or was there no scrum advantage? Thought we were about to throw game away rather than scrum and kick it out

Happy with the win important we keep in contact with top 8.

We played better than last week for sure. Never too disappointed with a with a win, but feel over the two legs we left a few league points out there.
Think we got through without too many injuries too.
Glasgow pack looked very under powered and thought we should have dominated them more rather than relying on a 90 metre breakout to win the game. Big difference was Healy mixing things and playing close to the line - thought he was POTM.
Probably unpopular, but would prefer to see Cherry and Vellacott starting. Ashman looks like a potential card waiting to happen every time he goes into contact. Not sure Price is firing on all cylinders although he was better tonight.

Going to watch it back this morning, many things unclear when at the game at ground level, I too like Cherry and Vellacott, but we also need a second 10 to give us options there, Healy, despite some beliefs is not infallible or perfect. All in all not a bad end to the year, the last games results will let us see how the league stands.

Good match and a stronger performance from Edinburgh . Lineout improved vs Glasgow’s World class jumpers and agree our guys largely nullified Glasgow’s international midfield . That said Tuipolutu looked as he was going through the motions as a pivot in low gear . Possibly conscious now of his guaranteed 6 Nations place. Would just like to see us convert more pressure into points and be more alive to supporting line breaks . Also didn’t get Darcy into play as much as we should have with possession.

Still unclear what we're trying to do in attack, too often the ball is shovelled along the line without much apparent intent to try anything different...

From a Scotland point of view, I'm pessimistic about Darge's knee, he was able to walk off the field but it looked absolutely horrible from where I was sitting and could potentially be a very long lay-off.
