LawrenceBryce me it is not easy being an ER fan!
Bulls are a good team and it is great to get the win, should give us confidence, but again the drop off and some of the decision making.

SRU has to invest in a lineout coach and split the time between ER and GW.
Live they did not all look like hookers fault, fairly certain a lift was missed, but we gave up too much possession from failed lineout. Also calling to the tail when the lineout is struggling is bonkers.
If Ashman could get his throwing sorted he could be one of the best hookers around. He has natural power that we rarely see in Scotland (zander F as well) outwith the lineout thought he was very good today.

I wondered today how good would he be as a 6 or 7?

Great display but you wonder where that has been hiding at times this season! Bulls have a big tough pack and we stood toe to toe with them today and came out evens, well done to the pack. The backs decided to play a few moves today and it came off. I like the centre pairing of Lang and Currie, Lang is more creative and is able to put Currie into space to use his pace and physique. Velacott was his usual bundle of energy and Thomson has eventually found where the gain line is and attacked it. As usual our back 3 were superb and a danger throughout.
Very frustrating to see this display just a few weeks after the ineptitude against Zebra at home! We should have been well place in the top half of the league by now.

doedin's observations on Lang are well made. We have missed him in the side during periods of injury recently as he seems to be able to bring the best out of the 10's and 13's either side of him. I recall clearly during the Kinghorn at 10 experiment that Blair's best performances were always when Lang was outside him at 12. Sebastian deserves a special mention after Saturday. His best performance in an Edinburgh shirt by some margin. To be able to take care of business in the tight as he did, and still show up regularly in the loose against a big physical Bulls pack was hugely impressive. He was my MOTM.
