Zebre v Edinburgh

Just seen that the Italy v Wales women's match scheduled for Saturday is to be rescheduled due to the Pope's Funeral on Saturday. Appreciate that's in Rome but rather think the same will apply to all sport in Italy on Saturday.
Friday night would suit Edinburgh I imagine if transport works.Sunday afternoon would heavily impact on preparations for the Bath game. No free dates for another weekend given we are still in the Challenge Cup (unless we lose of course and Finals weekend becomes free).
Suspect we'll be forced into a Sunday game.

Game has been moved to 7.30 on friday night.

As you say, its not the worst news for us. Although we need to win this game, no point in playing better, beating the Bulls and SteveWalsh the bed vs Zebre again.

Exactly if we played every week with the intensity we had v Sharks we wouldn't be worried about making 8th.

We lost at home to Zebre, team should be well motivated to make amends.

Zebre were excellent at the breakdown against Glasgow - multiple turnovers. I appreciate the play off position doesn't really allow too much in the way of gambling, but I'd really like to see Douglas given a start.

Breakdown is frustrating the hell out of me just now. Some refs blow up almost immediately and award double digit turnovers in a game, others allow a decent amount of time for the attacking side to re-cycle resulting in virtually no turnover penalties awarded. It's all a bit of a lottery now. Anyway ..... I'm off now to watch some good old 1980's rucking videos

Part of that was the pack Glasgow put out, Mann, Ferrie & Vailanu is a huge back row, but probably not the quickest. It was also a really mixed team as a whole. Hopefully we can play at the same intensity as we did against the Bulls and Sharks. No room for error, not only a must win now, we probably need a bonus point too. Very little room for error now.

We are lacking intensity again. Attack is ok, but passing is laboured, too soft around the fringes for both tries in defence.

Defence has been good in general, wtf is going on tonight.

Zebre doing well to slow up ruck, we need better protection and quicker ball.

Really poor. Need to use the bench to give some energy

Some kick.

Suspect it won't be enough for top 8.

Thought pass.to Graham looked very flat 8)

Good finish and kick, but as you say probably won’t be enough.

Cammy Scott looked really good when he came on. Kicked well from hand and got the backs moving. A risk to throw him in next week, but he may well be our best 10 at the moment. Ross Thompson is Edinburgh in a nutshell, does some tidy stuff then has a brain fart, looks short of confidence.

Absolute Edinburgh. Some excellent stuff, some distinctly average, and some Sunday morning pub stuff. Fabulous try conversion at the end. Muncaster's card when we looked like getting on top was crucial.
And I have to say although I was pushing for Douglas to start, Hamish Watson was my MoM.
