SCHOOLS' TOURNAMENT TO BE PLAYED IN MEMORY OF CALUM VEITCH

Postby EdinburghHQ on Wed Sep 28, 2011 4:54 pm

This Friday (30 September) the inaugural Calum Veitch Memorial Tournament will be played in honour of the 17-year-old Portobello High School and Musselburgh rugby player, who tragically fell from Edinburgh’s Salisbury Crags in June this year.

The 10-a-side tournament, one of Calum’s favourite variations of the game, was created to honour his memory and his massive involvement with rugby in Edinburgh.

The competition will host eight schools from the local area in a Cup and Plate tournament on Friday afternoon (2.30pm) on the Murrayfield back pitches ahead of Edinburgh Rugby's clash with Munster.
