Shiel plays well 98% of the time but the 2% is a bad bad decision/mistake. No need to throw that offload.

Is our tactic to hope that Munster fall asleep while waiting for us to play the ball?

easier to come on and add zip, but that offload is down to trying too hard, often a sign of a player who gets so few chances to impress

But he plays a reasonable amount. And he doesn't play more because he always does something mad like throwing blind offloads.

I’ll take the 98% good, Jim doesn’t miss an opportunity to diss Cockers, and that is his prerogative

9s are back to squint feeds - when was the last time you saw a straight feed?

I have seen errors, not seen that offload though
he is 23. been in 21 games, just 5 starts and 2 of those in the challenge cup. Its not enough, if that is what he has merited then could be time to move on.

There’s another second string who is not good enough, the hooker

We were told we were getting battered tonight, it’s scant consolation that hasn’t happened, but we never looked like winning.

For now I want to see McCallum and Shiel start every game, we have nothing to lose and everything to gain by selecting them

He should get more time ... But equally he does silly things and it's just infuriating. So I kind of get why Cockers isn't starting him because every mistake kills our champions cup narrow route.
