I will be at the ERSC table at the game tomorrow and would be grateful if all who have expressed and interest in tickets could come over and have a chat. I need to try and make sure I have no overlaps in the numbers I have.

If you know of anyone else who wants tickets, please tell them to come over to the table as well and I can add them to the list.

Also, it will be nice to meet you.

And how much they'll be, and where in the ground we'll be?

Loops,

Got an email from the club a couple of days ago saying they will source tickets. Prices as follows

Uncoverd behind the posts £4.50 & £13.50

Other seats £31.00, £35.50, £49.00 and £53.50

These are a little bit different from what we've been advised so far. Tickets go on general sale on Tuesday at 10am according to the Stade website.

However I have asked for tickets through the supporters club and will stick with them.

Thanks for that Oldsalt.

I have ordered tickets from the Supporters' Club too, so I was interested to know in which area we might be getting them, as some of our party would prefer to pay extra through the club to get a more central seat if the Supporters' Club tickets are for an area that has a less good view of the action. Old age is a terrible thing. :lol: (The feeling in our party being that having paid that much to travel, we may as well see the game clearly.)

I could not agree more on your comments re old age! :lol: I have a slight aversion to air travel these days and Eurostar definitely don't do fares as low as Hils £30 which must be the bargain of the season.
Just need to sort out a watering hole just like down at Newcastle, one of the Scottish bars perhaps?

Guys, sorry for the silence due to the site being down and me being away this weekend.

Here is the situation;
the Stade Francais Supporters Club (SFSC) have given us 20 tickets for the game. We have 53 travelling and looking for tickets from the ERSC. Sf, the club itself, has donated the remainder of the tickets to encourage us to travel, so we have all 53 tickets as a gift from the club and SFSC. The tickets ate in the same area as the SFSC so I believe they will be good in terms of view etc. The stadium is seated but not covered. I'm assured by the contact at SFSC that the weather is still very mild in Oct and will be OK.

While the tickets are free to us, I think we (and this means me also) should pay some of the cost and use the money to put towards SFSC tickets for the return match. It is unlikely that we will get a similar consideration from Edinburgh in terms of subsidised tickets. Can we say a contribution of £10 per ticket? This is not for the ERSC funds but purely to give the SFSC some support when coming to the return match. I propose to collect the money at the Leinster game on Saturday. As usual we will be at the ERSC table in the Clubhouse (Presidents Lounge).

SFSC had suggested a pre-match game between supporters but I declined on our behalf due to the fact that we are all travelling that day(or at least some of us are). They suggest we all meet up in a local bar to get tickets and get "aquainted". Exact details of this can be finalised over the next week or so but the bar in question is at Porte de St Cloud (5-10 mins walk from Jean Bouin Stadium and on metro line).

So far I can cionfirm the following have booked tickets;

Tigerduck - 7 / Edinburghpotter - 4 / Loops - 4 / Lee Massie - 1 / MG - 2 / Oldsalt - 2 / Shona - 4 / Chris - 2 / Special K - 9 / Lornad - 2 / Kev - 2 / Lorimer - 1 / Wade P - 1 / John Otterson - 7 / Hilary MaCrar - 2 / Me - 3

That makes 53 by my counting. Have to go do some work now but will post or email you all tonight. I suggest we make up a sheet of contact numbers to stay in touch as we travel and if I can I'll get this sorted out for Saturday also.

Hope this helps us clear up what we are doing.

Very nice gesture by Stade and the supporters club. I'm up for what you suggest, you can use my deposit as you see fit, tickets,supporters club running costs or banner fund. Thanks for making these arrangements Barry. :)

Just to tidy up some points.

I have more info on meeting up and the stadium for the SF game but the system wont let me cut and paste images into the message box. I can email those I have email addresses for, but not the others. If you PM me your email address I'll send you the stadium layout and photo of the meeting place.

Meeting up:
SFSC have suggested Les Fontaines, 2 place de la porte de saint cloud, Metro line number 9 station = Porte de Saint-Cloud. The SFSC president will meet us with some other of the supporters club. They can be there from about 11:00 onwards but we can work out a suitable time later (the game starts at 14:30 I think).

Stadium seats:
The tickets we have are in the “virage Paris” section (see map of Stade Jean Bouin on SF web site) they are roughly between where it is written “guichets” and “Rue Claude Farrere” ie along the touch line. This is a seated area.

Ticket prices:
As indicated before, we have 53 tickets gifted to us and I think there is general agreement that we will contribute to the cost of their tickets to the return match. I have previously suggested £10 / ticket and an alternative of £15 / ticket has been suggested by some of the ERSC committee. Can you let me have your thoughts on this. The money raised would be ring fenced for the return leg to host the SFSC.

Your thoughts and comments please.

Barry,
It all sounds great, thanks for an excellent job in organising this. I'm happy to go with whatever you decide in terms of a contribution towards tickets.

Hi

Sorry coming a little late to this discussion as we have been away for a couple of weeks. We haven't got our name on any lists yet but have booked our flights and hotel for Paris. My husband said there was a form on the website but when I looked this morning I can't find anything. Any idea how we can get hold of a couple of tickets?

We'll be at the game on Saturday as well if we need to speak to anyone there.

Thanks
