Away trip to Bath Heineken cup

Postby BruceLee on Thu Sep 10, 2009 11:38 pm

Hi
Would like to know if anyone has an idea if the club plans to run a coach down for the above fixture. If not where is a good meeting place for any supporters going down and are we likely to get grouped together at the REC?

The supporters club is looking at running a bus to the Bath game. We are currently getting prices from various companies and will post details as soon as possible.

Cheers for that David just back from Murrayfield hopefully the boys can bring some of that onto the European matches. Albeit not the strongest opponents but tonight they were clinical and looked like a team with real purpose

I've lived in Bristol for the last few years, and have been keeping my fingers crossed for Edinburgh to draw a local (to me!) team.

Would be great to meet up with some fellow Edinburgh supporters for the game - Bath's a fantastic rugby town, hope lots of people make it down.

After the success of the Paris trip we were talking to a few folk who are making the trip to Bath, I was just wondering what everyone is doing about getting tickets? I emailed the club who sent me a form to get tickets but there are 3 choices of ticket prices.

One of the successes of the Paris trip was we were all in one place, and met before and after the game. The club are asking the for the forms to be back by the 23rd October, anyone else think it would be a good idea if we all requested tickets in the same section.

Prices appear to range from £21 behind the posts to £30.

Any thoughts?

Re meeting up etc.

I have already contacted the Bath Supporters club and they recommend getting tickets through ERC. No guarantee of being together as I don't know the Bath policy on this.

Re meeting up before the game, I have been in contact with some people and need to drill down a couple of things before posting up details. But we will at least have a place to meet up that will welcome us (and I believe it will be within walking distance to the ground).

The committee are also looking at transport and watch the Forum for something on that this week.

Re tickets for the Bath match I've had a scan on ERC site but can't see anything about it. Does anyone know through whom or how at ERC we can get hold of tickets? I'll be looking for 6 or more but will be flying sleazyjet rather than bus. Would be good to meet up with any others before the match.

Sending in form through ERC and will be requesting £21 tickets (terrace behind posts) on the basis that I'm guessing that's where most other travelling supporters will be heading. If we go for £28/£30 Stand, presumably little chance of being clustered together. Just shout if other travellers are not going for the terrace behind posts.

Sounds like a plan, if we all request tickets in the place then we can make some noise.

We were wondering where to request seats, will do the same and request behind the posts.

We'll be going for the Stand seats - be good if there were a few others there!

Guys,

Been communicating with people down at Bath for a Venue to meet up before the game. A lot of the Bath supporters meet up at The Boater which is just down from their ground and would be happy for you to join them. The pub itself isn't big but it has a large beer garden.

You can find details of the pub at the links below:

As I said, the guys there will make you welcome. I'm not travelling to this game so please feed back info on this place if you go there so we can keep details if we are ever heading in that direction again.

Ive been down to Bath a few times and know this pub...it is small but very very close to the ground. Plenty of other pubs around the area aswell tho.

The ground itself has a great clubroom which is pretty big ...and we have never been refused entry....quite the opposite.
